Ο Μέγας Αλέξανδρος είναι Μακεδόνας, με τον ίδιο ακριβώς τρόπο που ο Μέγας Αλφρέδος είναι Ουεσσεξιανός Η 'Νοητική Αντίστασις' στις 25 Σεπτεμβρίου 2008, μαζί με πολλούς άλλους ιστοτόπους, κάλεσε τους αναγνώστες της, να στείλουν μηνύματα διαμαρτυρίας στο βρετανικό κανάλι Challege TV, σχετικά με το τηλεπαιχνίδι 'Take it or Leave It' (με παρουσιαστή τον Richard Arnold). Σε εκπομπή του 2006, στο εν λόγω τηλεπαιχνίδι, παρουσιάζεται η ερώτηση «Τι εθνικότητας ήταν ο Μέγας Αλέξανδρος». Ενώ οι παίκτες απαντούν, πολύ σωστά, «Έλληνας», η απάντηση θεωρείται λανθασμένη και ως σωστή δίδεται η απάντηση «Μακεδόνας», παρουσιάζοντας μάλιστα και την σημαία της Βαρδαρίας (πΓΔM) !
Μαζί με τους αναγνώστες μας, είχαμε στείλει και εμείς δικές μας επιστολές διαμαρτυρίας στο εν λόγω κανάλι. H απάντηση που λάβαμε ήταν η γνωστή, τυποποιημένη, διπλωματική απάντηση που έλαβαν όλοι όσοι διαμαρτυρήθηκαν. Η επίσημη απάντηση του καναλιού έχει ως εξής:

On the question itself, we have looked back at the records, and subject to procedure this was checked with two trusted sources.However, one of the main issues you've raised is the use of the flag of FYROM to illustrate the question and answer. Having heard many of your arguments on this, and having looked into it ourselves, we can see that this was inaccurate, and confusing for the audience. We unreservedly apologise for any offence that has been caused - that was certainly not our intention.It is very obvious that this particular question is about ancient history, not modern-day Europe. Using modern day flags is therefore inappropriate, so we're going to re-edit this particular episode so that the flags are not shown again.We hope that this goes a long way to addressing people's concerns, and completely removes any suggestion that we're making some kind of political statement. We're sorry to have got this wrong.

Who are your "two trusted sources"? This is not a police inquiry, where you have "two trusted sources/informants" that report to you on a particular issue. I understand and I respect your good will, but the issue is of immense importance, it penetrates into sensitive political issues and the relations of two states, and has to do with world history, and it's not a matter of "two trusted sources". Because, yes, at that time neither FYROM nor Greece existed in the form of state that they exist today. But this does not change the fact that Alexander the Great was Greek, from Macedonia. In the same fashion, England did not exist as a modern nation-state in 800-900 AD either, but this didn't stop Alfred the Great, King of Wessex to liberate the English people from Viking occupation.Therefore, I ask you, in the same fashion that you asked the players: What nationality was King Alfred the Great? Αλφρέδος ο Μέγας ή Αλφρέδος του Ουέσσεξ, απελευθερωτής των ΑγγλοσαξώνωνΙδρυτής του Αγγλικού Ναυτικού. Μέχρι στιγμής οι υπεύθυνοι του καναλιού δεν έχουν ανταποκριθεί. Καλούμε όλους τους αναγνώστες της 'Νοητικής Αντίστασεως', όπως και άλλα ιστολόγια και ιστοσελίδες, όπως στείλουν και αυτοί με την σειρά τους την πιο πάνω επιστολή ως ανταπάντηση στο κανάλι (takeitorleaveit@tigeraspect.co.uk , general@tigeraspect.co.uk), να την αναρτήσουν στους διάφορους χώρους ανταλλαγής απόψεων (φόρουμς, ιστολόγια, κλπ), και να την προωθήσουν και σε άλλους για να πράξουν ανάλογα.
Θεωρούμε ότι το συμβάν είναι πολύ σοβαρό και πρέπει να συνεχιστούν οι διαμαρτυρίες. Είναι μια καλή ευκαιρία να γίνουν γνωστές οι θέσεις των Ελλήνων (και όχι του κράτους της "Ελλάδας") για την Μακεδονία σε όλο τον κόσμο.Επίσης συνιστούμε όπως προωθήσετε άλλη ανάρτηση του αποσπάσματος του τηλεπαιγνιδιού, διότι η γνωστή ανάρτηση που είδαμε όλοι μας στο YouTube αναρτήθηκε από Βαρδάριους (Σκοπιανούς), και περιέχει έντονη αλυτρωτική προπαγάνδα των Σκοπίων.
Δεν υπάρχει κανένας λόγος να προωθούμε την προπαγάνδα τους, και γι' αυτό έχουμε αναρτήσει ξανά το απόσπασμα, με δικά μας σχόλια στο περιθώριο ("more info"), όσο και δικά μας "annotations" μέσα στο βίντεο. Όχι τίποτα άλλο, αλλά για να δούμε αν οι κύριοι αυτοί είναι το ίδιο χοντρόπετσοι, αδιάφοροι, κυνικοί και είρωνες για την δική τους πατρίδα, την δική τους ιστορία, την δική τους ταυτότητα και τον δικό τους Μέγα Αλφρέδο, όσο είναι για τον δικό μας Μέγα Αλέξανδρο.Θα επανέλθουμε δυναμικά επί του θέματος.
